Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
- Conduct thorough assessments and monitor changes in condition to ensure timely interventions
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document according to facility policy
- Document care and resident information using PointClickCare (PCC) to keep charts current
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Support unit operations and step into charge duties when assigned, working with LPNs/RNs
- Maintain BLS standards and participate in safety and infection control practices
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent long-term care (LTC) experience
- Current BLS certification
- Experience using PointClickCare (PCC) or similar long-term care EMR
- Active nursing license (LPN or RN) as required by state regulations
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a collaborative care team
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN or RN) or equivalent clinical training
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical skills in long-term care nursing and resident assessment
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Proficiency with PointClickCare (PCC) charting
- Infection control, safety protocols, and BLS knowledge
- Time management, delegation, and teamwork in a multi-floor facility
