Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent progressive care nursing for telemetry patients, keeping safety and comfort front and center
• Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry, respond to arrhythmias and escalate concerns promptly
• Provide thorough assessments, develop nursing plans and perform timely interventions
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the Cerner EMR
• Coordinate with physicians, therapists and support staff to ensure seamless, patient-focused care
• Assist with rapid turnover and short-stay admissions while maintaining high-quality outcomes
• Float to other units as needed, adapting quickly while maintaining standards of care

Qualifications

• Current RN license (state licensure required for North Carolina)
• Minimum 2+ years clinical experience, with progressive care or telemetry experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Telemetry competency and comfort with bedside hardwired monitoring
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Willingness to float to other units when needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Progressive care clinical best practices
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical record documentation
• Patient assessment, triage and prioritization skills
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced inpatient settings with quick turnover
• Strong teamwork, bedside manner and patient-centered communication
