Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to patients including ADLs, mobility assistance, and basic comfort measures
Take and record vital signs accurately and report significant changes to the nurse in charge
Assist with safe patient transfers and maintain patient dignity at all times
Document care and observations clearly in the patient chart or electronic records
Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
Communicate effectively with team members, patients and families to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in the state of California
Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
Demonstrated experience in direct patient care; per diem or acute care experience a plus
Ability to pass background check and meet facility immunization requirements
Dependable transportation and punctuality for night shift assignments

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong patient care fundamentals including bathing, feeding and toileting assistance
Proficient in taking vital signs and recognizing clinical changes
Basic knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
Clear, professional communication and teamwork skills
Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
