Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to patients, focusing on dignity and comfort
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to nursing staff
Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics to prevent injury
Document care accurately in the patient chart and communicate updates during handoff
Collaborate with the care team to promote a positive patient experience and good outcomes

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in the state of California
CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
Current immunizations and clear TB screening per facility policy
Ability to pass background check and drug screen
Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar setting preferred
Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Basic patient care techniques and infection control practices
Comfortable taking and recording vital signs accurately
Safe patient handling and transfer fundamentals
Basic charting and documentation skills
Empathy, patience, and the ability to stay calm under pressure
Good teamwork and clear communication with nurses and other staff
