Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality occupational therapy assistant services to residents at Bangs Nursing & Rehab
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans
• Document resident progress and treatment sessions accurately and timely
• Deliver therapeutic interventions to improve daily living skills and independence
• Educate residents and families on strategies to support recovery and function
• Monitor resident status and communicate changes to supervising therapists and nursing staff
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, resident-centered environment

Qualifications

• Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential
• Eligible for or holding required Texas state licensure/registration for COTA
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and required immunizations
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a long-term care setting
• Available to start on or around 2026-04-20 for this assignment

Education

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Graduation from an accredited OTA program or equivalent training

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of therapeutic techniques for functional independence and ADLs
• Skilled at resident assessment, documentation, and care planning
• Comfortable working within interdisciplinary rehab and nursing teams
• Ability to adapt interventions to meet geriatric and post-acute needs
• Good organizational skills and attention to safety and compliance
