Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care in the operating room for Level 1 trauma cases
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthetists, and perioperative staff to ensure patient safety
• Respond promptly and calmly to trauma and emergency cases, including weekends and holidays
• Maintain accurate intraoperative documentation and handoffs
• Demonstrate clinical excellence on the skills checklist and mentor teammates when needed
• Participate in on-call rotations and support continuity of care across shifts

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure (must be valid for practice in the assignment state)
• Previous travel nurse experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• High rating on skills checklist required; strong clinical skills expected
• Burn experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Operating Room (OR) nursing and perioperative workflows
• Trauma care expertise at a Level 1 trauma center
• Ability to perform under pressure during emergencies and high-acuity cases
• Strong technical and clinical skills demonstrated on a skills checklist
• Comfort with weekend, holiday, and on-call staffing
