Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, high-quality critical care to ICU patients and support their families during challenging moments
• Manage ventilators and other advanced life-support equipment with precision
• Perform and assist with procedures common to the unit such as central and arterial line care, lumbar punctures, chest tube management and EVD support
• Deliver continuous critical care monitoring and promptly escalate changes in patient condition
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in Meditech
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and multidisciplinary teams to create and execute individualized care plans
• Contribute to a positive patient experience through compassionate communication and professional bedside manner

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience (as indicated)
• Comfort and experience with ventilator management, CRRT/SLED and EVD (preferred)
• Familiarity with invasive line care (central and arterial lines) and bedside procedures (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care monitoring and ICU-level assessment skills
• Ventilator management and respiratory support
• CRRT and SLED operation and monitoring
• Experience with EVD and EV1000 monitoring tools
• Proficiency with Meditech documentation system
• Competence in central line, arterial line and chest tube care
• Strong teamwork, communication and patient-family advocacy skills
