Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional critical care nursing for complex trauma and surgical ICU patients, maintaining high standards of safety and compassion
• Manage advanced life support needs including ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Perform and assist with bedside procedures such as central/A-line management, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, and EVD support
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized equipment including CRRT/Prisma Max, Baxter IV pumps, and GE Carescape monitors
• Document patient care accurately and timely using Cerner PowerChart
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, transfers, and patient-family communications
• Adhere to unit policies and participate in floating to other ICUs as needed to support patient care

Qualifications

• Valid Nursing License
• Active ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience (acute care trauma/surgical ICU experience required)
• Experience working in Level I or Level II trauma centers preferred
• Comfortable with ventilator management, CRRT, central/A-line care, and common ICU procedures
• Team-oriented attitude, flexible, and able to adapt to fast-paced critical care environments

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing fundamentals and advanced hemodynamic monitoring
• Ventilator management and respiratory support
• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) familiarity
• Central line, A-line management and procedural care
• Medication administration and titration in critically ill patients
• Proficient documentation in Cerner PowerChart
• Experience with bedside pumps and monitors (e.g., Baxter, Alaris, GE Carescape)
