Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts
• Perform assessments, implement nursing interventions, and evaluate patient responses
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support continuity of care
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the medical record
• Respond to urgent clinical needs and escalate concerns appropriately
• Support MST program goals by delivering trauma-informed care and communication

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license — California RN licensure preferred
• Comfort working night/overnight shifts and managing a high-impact caseload
• Experience or training in trauma-informed care and MST-related services preferred
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred where applicable
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred where available

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of nursing process, clinical assessment, and care planning
• Skilled in medication administration and acute care nursing interventions
• Ability to work independently overnight while coordinating with daytime teams
• Comfortable delivering sensitive, trauma-informed care to diverse populations
• Good clinical judgement, prioritization, and crisis de-escalation skills
