Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with interventional radiology procedures using fluoroscopy and advanced imaging to support diagnostic and therapeutic care
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment safely, ensuring high quality images for physician interpretation
• Prepare patients and procedural areas, including sterile technique and contrast administration support when applicable
• Collaborate closely with radiologists, nurses and the care team to deliver efficient, patient-centered care
• Monitor patient status during procedures, adhering to radiation safety protocols and infection control standards
• Document procedures and maintain accurate patient and imaging records in PACS and EMR systems

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in interventional radiology or cath lab environment
• ARRT certification in Radiography or specialty certification relevant to interventional radiology
• Current state radiologic technologist licensure (must be eligible for North Carolina licensure)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred or required by facility
• Strong patient communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced procedural settings

Education

• Associate degree or diploma in Radiologic Technology or related field
• ARRT certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with fluoroscopy, digital subtraction angiography and related imaging modalities
• Knowledge of sterile technique, contrast media handling and patient prep
• Familiarity with PACS, EMR documentation and imaging workflow
• Understanding of radiation safety principles and protective practices
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and adapt to variable case volumes
