Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor cardiac telemetry continuously and promptly escalate any arrhythmias or alarms
Assess and document patient condition, changes, and response to treatment with clarity
Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
Administer medications and IV therapies safely, following policy and best practice
Respond quickly and confidently to emergency situations and codes
Provide patient and family education about cardiac conditions and care plans
Perform accurate and thorough shift handoffs to maintain continuity of care

Qualifications

Active RN license in California required
Prior telemetry nursing experience preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
Current immunizations and any facility-required screenings
Strong clinical judgement, communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
Skilled in patient assessment and early recognition of clinical changes
Familiarity with IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency response
Clear documentation skills and comfort using electronic medical records
Ability to work independently during overnight shifts and prioritize care effectively
