Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
• Monitor and document vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility to maintain dignity and independence
• Support infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Communicate clearly with nurses, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in patient records

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in California (required)
• Current basic life support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Clean background check and up-to-date immunizations per facility policy
• Comfort working night-shift hours and providing calm, attentive care
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed CNA training program and current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and infection prevention practices
• Ability to take and record vitals accurately
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
• Familiarity with patient lifting/transferring techniques and safety
