Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered ICU nursing care during overnight shifts
- Monitor and assess critically ill patients, recognizing and responding to changes
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced interventions safely
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams
- Document care accurately and communicate patient status during handoffs
- Participate in emergency responses and follow unit protocols for critical events
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (California licensure preferred/required)
- ICU clinical experience and comfort with critical care patient populations
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS preferred or required depending on unit
- Strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work overnight shifts reliably and collaborate in a fast-paced setting
Education
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ASN/BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven ICU nursing skills: ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, titration of vasoactive drips
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient/family-centered care approach
- Ability to triage, make rapid clinical decisions, and follow critical care protocols
