Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT examinations with attention to image quality and patient safety
• Operate and troubleshoot CT equipment, including GE scanners when available
• Follow trauma protocols and respond effectively in a Level II trauma environment
• Assist with fluoroscopic procedures when required and maintain fluoroscopy permit requirements
• Document procedures and findings accurately in EPIC EMR and maintain clear patient records
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and the care team to ensure smooth patient flow
• Adhere to radiation safety practices and infection control standards at all times
• Provide compassionate patient care, including proper positioning and patient communication

Qualifications

• Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the California Department of Health Services
• ARRT registration required
• Valid Fluoroscopy permit
• Current CPR certification
• At least 2 years of CT scanning experience
• Experience with GE CT scanners preferred
• Prior successful completion of traveler assignments preferred
• EPIC EMR experience

Education

• Current Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) - State of California

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
• Proficiency with GE scanner operation and troubleshooting
• Fluoroscopy skills and permit compliance
• Radiation safety principles and dose optimization
• Competence with EPIC EMR documentation and workflow
• Excellent patient positioning and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a Level II trauma setting
