Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assist with daily living activities
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and condition changes accurately
- Support nurses and clinical staff with timely task completion and clear communication
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control procedures
- Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and mobility needs while prioritizing dignity
- Report observations and concerns promptly to the nursing team to ensure excellent care
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in California
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable working per-diem night shifts and adapting to varying schedules
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings (TB, immunizations)
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Basic vital sign measurement and documentation
- Infection control best practices and safe patient handling
- Effective verbal communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
- Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs in a busy setting
