Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate telemetry nursing care to adult patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to changes promptly
• Administer medications and IV therapies following hospital protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the EMR
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Identify and escalate clinical changes and participate in rapid response when needed

Qualifications

• Current RN license eligible for or issued by the State of California
• Experience caring for telemetry patients or strong telemetry skills
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Comfortable with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition, and emergency response
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to pass facility orientation and required health screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of an accredited nursing program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in cardiac telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration, and patient assessment
• Familiar with electronic medical records (EMR) charting
• Strong prioritization skills in fast-paced clinical settings
• Knowledge of acute care nursing standards and evidence-based practice
