Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care and assist residents with activities of daily living
- Monitor and document vital signs and patient condition accurately
- Assist nursing staff with safe transfers, mobility and positioning
- Maintain clean, safe environments and follow infection control procedures
- Communicate changes in patient status promptly to the care team
- Support patient dignity and independence while delivering respectful care
- Participate in shift handoffs and accurate documentation to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (must be valid in the state of practice)
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfort working overnight shifts and providing hands-on patient care
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Background check and any required facility onboarding completed prior to shift
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA training program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs, toileting, feeding and mobility support
- Knowledge of basic clinical observations and when to escalate concerns
- Familiarity with infection control practices and patient safety protocols
- Comfortable with electronic or paper documentation systems
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment
- Professional bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
