Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and triage emergency patients quickly and compassionately
- Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care for acute presentations
- Administer medications and treatments per established protocol
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care
- Monitor patient status, document changes, and escalate concerns promptly
- Provide clear discharge instructions and patient education with empathy
- Maintain sterile technique and follow infection control best practices
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Previous Emergency Room (ER) experience preferred
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
- Strong clinical assessment, prioritization, and triage skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and collaborate as part of a team
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Triage and rapid assessment of emergency presentations
- IV insertion, medication administration, and wound care
- Familiarity with ACLS protocols and emergency procedures
- Comfortable using electronic health records for accurate documentation
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and situational awareness
