Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care and support to patients throughout the shift
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
- Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics at all times
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly during handoffs
- Help maintain a clean, safe and respectful environment for patients and families
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
- Valid authorization to work in California (state certification/license as applicable)
- Comfortable and experienced with overnight/12-hour shifts
- Reliable, compassionate, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Willingness to complete facility onboarding requirements (e.g., background check, TB screening) as required
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Current CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong fundamentals in patient care and activities of daily living
- Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs
- Infection control practices and safe patient handling
- Clear communication with patients, families and the clinical team
- Dependable time management and attention to detail during handoffs
