Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to patients throughout the shift
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient mobility and fall prevention strategies
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in patient charts
• Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and team members
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification required
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or must obtain promptly
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening
• Prior experience as a nursing assistant in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and a caring attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and current state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care and infection control practices
• Skilled in taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Comfortable assisting with mobility and safe transfer techniques
• Good charting and observation skills with attention to detail
• Team player with clear communication and patient-centered focus
