Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care with compassion and accuracy
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient status throughout your shift
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following protocols
• Document care and clinical findings clearly in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and discharge goals
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Acute care or med-surg experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Comfortable with EMR/charting and basic computer skills
• Ability to work nights and weekends as a per diem clinician

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and patient monitoring
• Medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with telemetry/monitoring and recognizing cardiac rhythms
• Accurate EMR documentation and handoff communication
• Infection control practices and patient safety principles
• Teamwork, time management, and patient education techniques
