Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor telemetry strips and interpret cardiac rhythms promptly and accurately
Assess patients' clinical status and intervene to maintain safety and stability
Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy according to orders and protocols
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the chart
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, care plans, and discharge instructions
Escalate changes in patient condition to providers in a timely, professional manner

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
Experience or comfort working on telemetry units and monitoring cardiac rhythms
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or obtainable
Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to per diem scheduling

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
Patient assessment, including cardiac and respiratory systems
Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
Clear clinical documentation and handoff communication
Team collaboration, time management, and situational awareness
