Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate telemetry nursing care to adult patients with cardiac monitoring needs
• Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and alert the team to any changes
• Administer medications and therapies safely and according to facility protocols
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes to providers
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate timely, high-quality care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record
• Respond promptly to urgent situations and participate in life-saving interventions when needed
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis, medications, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California
• Telemetry nursing experience (prior telemetry/step-down experience preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or obtainable
• Strong clinical assessment and cardiac monitoring skills
• Ability to work independently during overnight shifts and communicate clearly with the team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry interpretation and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• IV medication administration and infusion pump management
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
• Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments
• Prioritization and time management during busy shifts
