Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts
• Assess and monitor patient status, recognizing changes and intervening promptly
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to implement care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the chart
• Respond to emergencies, prioritizing patient safety and stabilizing as needed
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (California) or ability to obtain
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred or encouraged
• Per-diem or bedside nursing experience preferred, especially night-shift experience
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a patient-first mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Familiarity with inpatient nursing workflows and documentation best practices
• Ability to triage, escalate, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Comfort working independently during overnight hours with good judgment
