Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and support daily needs
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, feeding)
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to clinical staff
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient care
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe care environment
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and team members
• Support safe patient transfers and mobility assistance
• Respond professionally to emergent situations and escalate appropriately

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification in the state of California (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (preferred or must obtain upon hire)
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and meet facility immunization requirements
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance for assigned shifts
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and patient hygiene practices
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with ADLs, safe transfer techniques, and infection control
• Good charting and basic computer/documentation skills
• Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management abilities
• Comfort working with diverse patient populations and varying acuity levels
