Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care across the assigned shift
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Collaborate with the MST team and interdisciplinary partners to coordinate care
• Respond promptly to emergencies and escalate concerns when needed
• Educate patients and families with clear, respectful communication
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation and adhere to facility policies

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (required)
• Current BLS certification; ACLS or other certifications preferred
• Prior acute care or relevant clinical experience preferred but new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome
• Comfort working overnight 12-hour shifts and independently managing patient needs
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities
• Ability to pass required background checks and credentialing for per diem roles

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of accredited nursing program and active RN licensure in California

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment skills and clinical judgment in fast-paced settings
• Medication administration and IV therapy proficiency
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during overnight shifts
• Collaborative approach to working with multi-disciplinary teams
• Compassionate patient education and family communication skills
