Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide timely, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients in the ER
• Perform rapid triage, assessment, and prioritize care for acute presentations
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate patient flow
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the chart
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and aftercare
• Respond effectively to critical events and participate in resuscitation efforts

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — California licensure expected
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred or willing to obtain
• Previous ER or emergency care experience highly desirable
• Comfort working nights and in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Strong clinical assessment, IV skills, and ability to prioritize under pressure

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment skills
• IV insertion, medication administration, and wound care
• Familiarity with common ER workflows and critical care basics
• Clear communication with multidisciplinary teams and patients
• Proficiency with electronic health records and accurate documentation
• Calm, decisive clinical judgment in high-stress situations
