Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to assigned patients during overnight shifts
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings clearly and promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Respond to patient needs and emergencies with professionalism and calm
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and next steps
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (required)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS or other advanced certifications preferred where applicable
• Comfort and experience working overnight/continuous care shifts
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills; patient-centered mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of medical-surgical nursing principles and best practices
• Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with patient monitoring and telemetry concepts (as applicable)
• Skilled in charting, handoffs, and electronic medical records documentation
• Infection control, safe patient handling, and adherence to clinical protocols
