Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality critical care to NVICU patients, maintaining safety and dignity
• Perform and manage central line and arterial line (A-line) placement/care
• Support airway management including intubation and ongoing ventilator care
• Provide specialized care for EVD patients in coordination with core staff
• Accurately document patient care and orders in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and interdisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes
• Maintain appropriate patient ratios and monitor clinical status with keen judgment
• Adhere to unit policies, infection control and professional standards at all times

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience (required)
• Current ACLS certification (required)
• Experience with Meditech EMR (preferred)
• Oncology and/or Neuro ICU experience (preferred)
• Comfortable working rotating night shifts and multiple weekends per schedule period
• Strong teamwork, accountability and patient-centered attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing fundamentals and advanced ICU interventions
• Central line and arterial line placement and maintenance
• Intubation support and ventilator/airway management
• EVD patient care familiarity
• Proficient documentation and navigation of Meditech EMR
• Ability to work in a fast-paced ICU with ~2:1 patient ratios
• Flexibility to float across ICUs, BMT and PCU floors
