Roles & Responsibilities

• Verify medications accurately and efficiently to keep patients safe
• Provide vancomycin, aminoglycoside and anticoagulant dosing and monitoring
• Conduct pain consults and collaborate with the care team to optimize pain management
• Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians, including oversight of Pyxis and first-dose checks
• Compound and verify sterile IV preparations using Dose Edge and other verification systems
• Perform medication reconciliation and support emergency med box readiness

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School (required)
• Licensed to practice pharmacy in Missouri (MO Pharmacist License required)
• Minimum 2 years of pharmacy experience (as listed in the posting)
• ACLS and BLS preferred
• NICU experience is a plus but not mandatory

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication verification and sterile compounding best practices
• Vancomycin, aminoglycoside and anticoagulant dosing protocols
• Experience with Dose Edge, Pyxis, Pak Edge and Meditech EMR
• Ability to supervise technicians and manage decentralized pharmacy workflows
• Strong clinical communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
