Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care including assistance with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs, reporting any concerns to the nursing team promptly
- Support safe mobility and safe transfers, helping patients remain comfortable and dignified
- Document care accurately and timely in patient records
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients and families
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (required)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass required background checks, TB screening, and immunization verification
- Comfortable with physical aspects of patient care and safe lifting practices
- Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to provide compassionate care
- Previous hands-on patient care experience preferred
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient hygiene and support with activities of daily living
- Taking and accurately recording vital signs
- Basic infection control and PPE use
- Safe patient handling and mobility assistance
- Clear, timely documentation and communication
- Teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced care environment
