Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to ICU patients during the night shift
• Monitor hemodynamics, ventilator settings, and advanced equipment with vigilance and precision
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to implement care plans
• Perform timely assessments, document changes, and escalate concerns to ensure patient safety
• Administer medications, titrate infusions, and manage complex IV therapies according to protocol
• Support families with clear communication and empathy during stressful moments

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California or compact state privileges where applicable
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS and/or PALS preferred
• ICU experience preferred — demonstrated comfort with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and critical care meds
• Excellent clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and ability to work autonomously on night shifts
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven knowledge of critical care nursing practices and ICU protocols
• Skilled in cardiac/respiratory monitoring, ventilator management, and vasoactive medications
• Strong assessment skills with the ability to prioritize rapidly in high-acuity settings
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and clear clinical documentation
• Team-oriented attitude and effective communication with multidisciplinary teams
