Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate basic care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes promptly
• Support safe transfers and positioning while following facility protocols
• Document care provided clearly and communicate with the nursing team
• Observe patients for changes in condition and escalate concerns quickly
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification in the state of California required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with transfers and physical tasks associated with patient care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; patient-focused attitude
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care and hygiene practices
• Vital sign measurement and documentation
• Infection prevention and standard precautions
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Clear communication with patients, families, and clinical staff
• Time management and prioritization in a busy care environment
