Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and support to patients during the night shift
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, mobility)
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation to ensure continuity of care
• Support safe patient transfers and fall-prevention measures
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver coordinated care
• Ensure infection control standards and a clean, safe patient environment

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (required) with ability to work in California settings
• Active state authorization or ability to verify credentials for California
• Previous experience in acute or long-term care preferred but new grads welcome
• Comfort working independently during overnight shifts
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-first attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient hygiene, transfer assistance, and ADL support
• Accurate vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
• Familiarity with charting/documentation and bedside reporting
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
• Ability to prioritize tasks and escalate clinical concerns appropriately
• Team player mentality with strong interpersonal skills
