Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac and hemodynamic data to guide treatment
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced interventions safely
• Operate and manage ventilators and other life-support equipment
• Document patient care accurately and communicate changes promptly
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
• Support unit readiness by assisting with admissions, transfers, and emergency response

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Experience in an ICU or other critical care setting (ICU experience preferred)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently on per diem assignments and integrate into existing teams

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of critical care nursing principles and protocols
• Skilled with cardiac monitoring and interpreting telemetry
• Competent in ventilator management and respiratory support
• Proficient with IV medication administration and titration
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
• Strong prioritization and rapid decision-making under pressure
