Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to patients with dignity and respect
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs, reporting any concerns to the nursing team promptly
- Document care accurately and timely in the patient record
- Support safe patient transfers and maintain a hazard-free environment
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) in California
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Compassionate patient care mindset and strong communication skills
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA program and active certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient care fundamentals and infection control practices
- Vital sign measurement and basic clinical observation
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Clear communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
- Basic electronic health record navigation and documentation
