Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide advanced respiratory care and ventilator management for NICU/PICU patients, ensuring safe and effective therapies
• Manage ventilators and specialized equipment such as 3100A, Bunnell, and Servo ventilators
• Deliver and monitor therapies including high flow devices, Nitric Oxide, Heliox, and continuous nebulizers
• Perform thorough patient assessments, initiate appropriate interventions, and evaluate response to therapy
• Document treatments and patient progress accurately using Meditech
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Support unit operations by floating to adult floors when needed for nebulizer therapy, BiPAP, CPT, and related interventions
• Contribute to a culture of safety, critical thinking, and patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• BLS, NRP, and PALS required
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience
• Current NICU/PICU respiratory care experience (advanced skill)
• Demonstrated ventilator management experience and familiarity with high flow devices
• Meditech documentation experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and troubleshooting
• Experience with 3100A, Bunnell, Servo ventilators
• High Flow Devices, Nitric Oxide, Heliox, and continuous nebulizers
• Neonatal and pediatric respiratory care (NICU/PICU)
• Electronic documentation in Meditech
• Strong teamwork, critical thinking, adaptability, and patient-focused communication
