Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately to prioritize life-threatening conditions
• Provide high-quality nursing care including medication administration, wound care, and IV management
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to develop and implement patient care plans
• Monitor patient status, interpret clinical data, and escalate concerns when needed
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EHR thoroughly and timely
• Support family education and provide compassionate communication during stressful situations
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license (New Hampshire or compact RN accepted)
• BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willingness to obtain
• Previous ED/ER nursing experience preferred (new grads with strong ED clinical exposure are encouraged to apply)
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Completion of an accredited nursing program and active RN licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency triage and rapid assessment skills
• Proficiency with IV insertion, medication administration, and acute care procedures
• Familiarity with common ED equipment and monitors
• Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) for documentation
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and function well in team-based care
