Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality labor and delivery nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum patients
• Act as circulating nurse for C-sections and support scrub/circulating roles in the OR
• Manage epidurals, spinal anesthesia care and assist with procedures such as cerclage and external cephalic version
• Administer and monitor IV therapies including magnesium drips for high-acuity patients
• Triage OB patients effectively and coordinate care with the team and Level III NICU when needed
• Care for patients in PACU and assist with transitions of care
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech and CPN
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues to improve patient experience and outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (state licensing as required)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience (per posting)
• Certifications required or expected: BLS, ACLS, NRP
• AWOHHN Fetal Heart Rate Intermediate certification listed by hospital (discuss during onboarding; not always required)
• Comfortable with OR scrub/circulating roles and fast-paced L&D environment
• Ability to float within the women’s & children’s service line as needed
• Experience with Meditech and CPN documentation preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in C-sections, epidural management and spinal anesthesia care
• Experienced with cerclage and external cephalic version procedures
• Proficient with IV therapy including magnesium drips for high-acuity patients
• Strong OB triage assessment skills and PACU care experience
• Knowledge of Level III NICU collaboration and neonatal needs
• Comfortable in OR scrub/circulating roles and fast-paced unit workflows
• Familiarity with Meditech and CPN electronic documentation systems
• Excellent communication, critical thinking and teamwork abilities
