Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-acuity, compassionate nursing care to adult CVICU patients, making critical decisions that matter
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data and manage Swan Ganz catheters to guide therapy
• Manage mechanical ventilation and perform ventilator adjustments in collaboration with the team
• Perform arterial, central line, and chest tube management with precision and safety
• Operate and monitor advanced support devices including CRRT and Impella when indicated
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech and communicate changes clearly during handoffs
• Collaborate closely with physicians, perfusionists, and multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Teach and support patients and families through recovery and complex cardiac care

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required)
• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience (adult ICU, CVICU, Neuro ICU or similar) as listed in unit must-have
• Proven ventilator management experience and comfort with high-acuity airway care
• Demonstrated skills managing arterial lines, central lines, and chest tubes
• Experience with CRRT and temporary mechanical circulatory support (Impella) is a plus
• Meditech experience preferred
• BSN and CCRN credentials are preferred but not strictly required

Education

• Active RN license (required)
• BSN preferred

• Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) setup and monitoring
