Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents during overnight shifts
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document changes in condition accurately
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
• Monitor and respond to acute changes, escalating care when appropriate
• Maintain clear, timely electronic charting and handoff communication for continuity of care
• Support a positive patient experience by engaging with residents and families respectfully

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse license (RN) — New Mexico license preferred or compact RN eligible
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required
• Previous long-term care, rehabilitation, or similar nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work independently during night shifts
• Professional, reliable, and a team player with excellent communication skills

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• Current RN licensure (New Mexico preferred) and BLS/CPR certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Patient assessment and care planning
• Wound care and basic restorative/rehabilitative nursing skills
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and nursing documentation
• Effective communication with interdisciplinary teams and families
• Time management and prioritization during busy overnight shifts
