Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents by assisting with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Support meal times by assisting with feeding and monitoring intake
• Perform standard CNA duties for long-term care residents, maintaining dignity and comfort
• Monitor resident condition and communicate changes promptly to nursing staff
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
• Float between two floors as needed to support resident care and staffing needs

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (state-required) — must be in good standing
• Demonstrated experience in long term care and assisting with ADLs, bathing, and meal assistance
• Comfort and ability to work night shifts (overnight schedule)
• Ability to safely float between floors and adapt to varying resident needs
• Current immunizations and ability to pass facility background checks as required

Education

• CNA certification required
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong skills in ADLs, bathing, meal assistance, and basic patient care
• Experience working in long term care settings (LTCC/PCC)
• Ability to work independently overnight and prioritize resident safety
• Effective communication and teamwork on night shift
• Familiarity with routine charting and reporting resident changes
