Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver hands-on interventions and therapeutic exercise to restore function and mobility
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and rehab team members to coordinate patient care
• Document patient progress accurately in the medical record and adjust plans based on outcomes
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapist license in New Mexico, or ability to obtain prior to start
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree preferred
• BLS/CPR certification required; other specialty certifications a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Comfort working in an interdisciplinary rehab setting and with a diverse patient population

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Bachelor's or Master's in Physical Therapy considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, gait training, and functional mobility
• Proficient with patient assessment and outcome measurement tools
• Solid clinical reasoning and the ability to prioritize caseloads
• Effective communicator with patients, families, and care teams
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and professional documentation standards
