Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in a medical/substance abuse treatment setting
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document all care in the medical record
• Perform timely patient assessments and report changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Collaborate with nursing staff, providers, and support departments to ensure safe, effective care
• Educate patients on medications, treatments, and recovery resources with clarity and respect
• Maintain infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies at all times

Qualifications

• Current and active California LVN license required
• Good attendance record and NO TOR as stated by the facility
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification recommended or required per facility policy
• Experience in medical, behavioral health, or substance abuse treatment settings is a strong plus
• Strong communication skills, professionalism, and ability to work well in a team

Education

• Vocational Nursing certificate or equivalent LVN program completion

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Patient assessment, vital signs, and recognizing changes in condition
• Charting and electronic medical record familiarity
• Infection control and safety procedures
• Compassionate patient communication and de-escalation techniques
