Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled occupational therapy interventions to support patient independence in activities of daily living
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehab team to create and implement individualized care plans
• Perform patient assessments and document progress clearly and timely
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, and safe home strategies
• Recommend and train on adaptive devices to maximize function and safety
• Contribute to discharge planning and continuity of care to ensure successful transitions

Qualifications

• Current COTA certification (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) required
• Willingness and ability to work a travel contract assignment (contract_travel)
• Available to start on 2026-06-01 for a 13-week assignment
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced rehabilitation setting; prior rehab or skilled nursing experience is a plus

Education

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant or related field
• COTA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL training and therapeutic exercise programs
• Strong patient assessment and clinical documentation skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with nurses, therapists, and family members
• Competence in recommending and training on adaptive equipment and compensatory strategies
• Good time management and caseload prioritization abilities
