Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic exams and fluoroscopic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist providers with accurate diagnoses
• Provide ultrasound-guided paracentesis, thoracentesis, and arthrocentesis alongside radiology providers for patient care
• Assist with fluoroscopically guided PICC placements and perform C-arm fluoroscopy in the OR as requested by surgeons
• Deliver clear patient education for procedure preparation and post-procedure care with compassion and clarity
• Complete accurate radiology documentation for interpretation, reporting, archiving, and retrieval
• Retrieve written orders and related health information, ensuring proper distribution and billing support
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and help monitor hospital quality indicators

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Radiology program or equivalent
• Montana Radiologic Technologist License required
• ARRT certification required
• American Heart Association BLS required
• Minimum one (1) year of radiology experience (clinical internship may count toward this)
• Demonstrated ability to perform ultrasound-guided paracentesis, thoracentesis, and arthrocentesis
• Comfortable assisting with PICC placements and performing C-arm fluoroscopy in the OR
• Proven documentation skills and ability to use EMR/computer applications
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work well in a busy, team-oriented environment

Education

• Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Radiology program or equivalent; ongoing compliance with required education per DNV and Bozeman Health

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in radiography, fluoroscopy and radiation safety principles
• Experience with ultrasound-guided procedures and procedural assistance
• Proficient in radiology documentation, archiving, and retrieval processes
• Ability to learn and use current and new computer applications and EMR systems
• Patient-focused approach to education, prep and post-procedure care
• Familiarity with quality improvement processes and hospital quality indicators
• Comfort working in high-pressure, fast-paced clinical settings and maintaining professionalism
