Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for rehab patients at Canyon Trans Rehab Center
• Perform thorough assessments, monitor vital signs, and document changes in condition
• Coordinate with therapists, physicians, and family members to support rehabilitation goals
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with facility protocols
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and ongoing needs
• Respond promptly to emergencies and escalate concerns to the clinical team as needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain one quickly
• Prior acute care or rehab nursing experience preferred; travel RN experience a plus
• Current BLS required; ACLS and other specialty certifications encouraged if available
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to patient care

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Familiarity with rehab nursing principles and care planning
• Ability to work independently during night shifts while collaborating effectively with day teams
• Time management and prioritization for 12+ hour shifts
