Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to residents at a rehab center during night shifts
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document promptly
• Perform thorough patient assessments and monitor for changes in condition
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Educate residents and families about care plans and discharge goals
• Maintain accurate clinical records in the facility’s documentation system
• Ensure a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control protocols
• Report significant findings to charge nurses and providers in a timely manner

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license in New Mexico (must be valid and in good standing)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS preferred for RNs
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening per facility policy
• Comfortable working 12+ hour night shifts and providing hands-on patient care
• Experience in rehabilitation, long-term care, or acute care preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently overnight

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program for Licensed Practical Nurse roles
• Graduate of an accredited ADN/BSN program for Registered Nurse roles

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and safe documentation practices
• Skilled in patient assessment, vital signs, and clinical changes monitoring
• Familiarity with wound care and mobility/rehab support
• Proficient with electronic medical records and charting
• Solid infection control practices and safety-minded care
• Team collaboration, time management, and prioritization during busy shifts
