Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients, following facility policies and clinical standards
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document all care in the patient record
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes in condition to the care team
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs/LPNs, and interdisciplinary staff to implement patient care plans
• Support safe patient transitions, admissions, discharges and effective handoffs
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care in a clear, respectful manner
• Maintain a safe and clean clinical environment and follow infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license in North Carolina (required)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; advanced certifications encouraged if applicable
• Clinical experience in acute care or similar setting preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
• Ability to pass facility-required health screenings and background checks

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN or RN program (practical nurse diploma or associate/BSN for RNs)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in medication administration, documentation, and basic patient assessments
• Skilled at IV care and monitoring (as applicable to RN scope)
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation and charting best practices
• Excellent patient-handling, prioritization, and time-management skills
• Comfortable responding to urgent patient needs and escalating appropriately
