Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care to assigned patients
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Closely monitor resident conditions and promptly report changes
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in the medical record
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and facility staff to coordinate care
• Support admissions, discharges, and transitions during the backfill assignment
• Promote a safe, clean environment and follow infection control best practices
• Mentor and support CNAs and newer staff when needed

Qualifications

• Current LPN license or eligibility to obtain state licensure for New Mexico practice
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from an accredited provider
• Comfortable administering medications, wound care, and daily nursing tasks
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings is preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on a traveling assignment
• Ability to work Thursday through Saturday, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program (LPN/LVN diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and accurate charting
• Basic wound care, ADL assistance, and skilled nursing tasks
• Familiarity with long-term care workflows and regulatory compliance
• Vital signs monitoring and clinical assessment
• Electronic medical record documentation
• Clear communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments
